The director said he hoped it would leave a bittersweet taste. I mean it’s definitely got me thinking, but I’d say the taste leftover is more just… bland.

If you know me by now (and as you can see by the photo), I am very chaotic with my readingπ These are the books I currently have on the go, along with 2 Kindle books, an audiobook and a pdf. Some (the ones at the back) I started last year - but I'm going to return to all of them once I've finished the ones at the front!
I've read like this for as long as I can remember - and as you can imagine, it usually takes me a while to get to the end of each bookπ
(It took me a year to complete the last installment of the Lockwood & Co. series, because I didn't want it to be over!)
I either take weeks to finish a book, or read it in one sitting - with no in-betweenπ While the two things are so juxtaposed, they are both 'me', and I think it's interesting how we can possess two contradicting traits like that within ourselves, simultaneouslyπ€·ββοΈ
It's probably some psychological attention-related thing, but to me it means I can hop between worlds; exist as different people in different places around the same time. I don't feel "book hangovers" for as long, because I'm already settled into other worlds, and I can transfer my focus to one of those while I mull over the one I just left.
Fun fact - I rarely use a bookmark, and instead just find the page I was last on (although recently I've been using the lovely bookmarks I got from @thepoetichistorianπ₯°)
